Kerosene is a BakuDeku/DekuBaku zine focusing on the pairings' adventures as contributors put them through various steampunk-centered situations! It's spawned from a mutual adoration among the mod team for all things steampunk-related. After several months of labor and love, we're finally ready to bring this zine to your attention!From time travel into another dimension to airships floating in the stratosphere to journeys toward the center of the earth, steampunk-centered themes are unlimited! We're incredibly excited to begin this journey and can't wait to see what everyone creates for Kerosene! Thank you for checking us out! We hope to see more of you as the days go on!

Kerosene will be a Physical, SFW, For-Profit Zine with an NSFW add-on called Gasoline.All participants are 18+.We have 8 writers and 22 artists (including full-page artists, 1/2-page collab artists, merch artists, and guests).

A list of frequently asked questions
⚙️ What are Zines?
Zines are small-circulation fanmade magazines published by small groups of content creators. They can be either physical or digital, and sometimes include themed merchandise bundles for purchase.⚙️ Will there be Mod Applications?
Yes. Mod Applications will open June 6th and will close on June 21st at 11:59 pm CST.⚙️ Can Minors participate?
No. Since this Zine will be For-Profit, to ease the process, all Moderator and Contributor applicants must be 18 years of age or older.⚙️ What are 1/2-page collab artists?
Each collab artist will be assigned to 2 writers, being expected to create 1 half-page illustration for each fic, totaling to 2 half-page illustrations overall. They will be expected to communicate thoroughly to design a scene pertaining to the fic, based on the prompts provided by their writer collaboration partners.⚙️ How will Contributors be compensated?
We have set 3 goals we hope to achieve.Goal 1: Physical Copy of the Main Zine

Goal 3: Physical Copy of the Full Bundle + Equal Financial Compensation for all ContributorsIf we don't reach goal #1, all remaining proceeds after shipping and breakeven costs will be split evenly among contributors and moderators.⚙️ Are we allowed to apply for more than one position?
Yes. However, you will only be accepted into one position.⚙️ Can I submit old content if I'm accepted into the Zine?
No. To ensure we are providing new content for our consumers, we are requesting every contributor to create something specifically for this zine upon acceptance.⚙️ Will the Zine be shipped internationally?
Yes. However, the buyer is responsible for all taxes, custom fees, shipping fees, etc. that may be incured upon arrival to certain countries. These are not the responsibility of Kerosene. If you are unsure of your countries shipping limitations, please contact your local postal service for more information.If the buyer refuses to pay the aforementioned fees, the Kerosene Zine Team will not offer full refunds or replacement packages.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.⚙️ Will platonic BKDK be allowed?
No. This Zine will be focusing on BakuDeku as a pairing rather than their friendship. Whether this means the pieces will center around them 'getting together' or already in an established relationship will be left up to the contributors.⚙️ Are AUs allowed?
Yes. However, the Mod team will be monitoring the use of AUs during the prompt pitch stage to ensure a sufficient variety is used.⚙️ I have a question that wasn't answered here. Where can I go to ask?
